The Gaeta Western in sage green check is a shirt for those who are not satisfied with colour on the surface. Finamore 1925 reinterprets the western shirt through a garment dyeing process that makes each piece unrepeatable: the exclusive check design — with its amber stripes and dark lines weaving a tartan of quiet character — is dyed once the garment is complete, so that the colour penetrates the fibres with a depth and naturalness no other method can achieve. Cut 4 cm shorter than the classic base in a regular fit, its silhouette carries this character with ease.
FABRIC AND MATERIALS
The fabric of this Gaeta Western is built on a considered proportion: 70% cotton and 30% linen, a balance that gives cotton the lead without silencing the linen. The cotton provides body and hold; the linen introduces breathability and a softly animated drape that is felt from the first wear. The check design is intrinsic to the construction of the fabric — neither printed nor applied — and the garment dyeing process enriches the sage green with warm, organic nuances that shift from piece to piece: no two examples will ever be quite alike.
ARTISANAL CONSTRUCTION
Every Gaeta Western is born from the hands of Finamore 1925's seamstresses in Naples, through three stages of artisanal handwork that define the sartorial character of the garment. The armhole (giromanica) is sewn by hand, with the precision that only an expert hand can deliver. The mouche reinforces points of tension with quiet discretion. The snap buttons are selected and fitted with care: only the collar button, attached using the Neapolitan giglio stitch, retains a traditional buttonhole — a quiet nod to classic shirtmaking within a contemporary spirit. The mouche carries the embroidered 'F' of Finamore 1925 — present and discreet, as always.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
The Luigi collar defines the silhouette with western character and Neapolitan restraint. The two patch pockets on the chest — closed with snap buttons — complete the geometry of the shirt with coherence: the garment dyeing process unifies them chromatically with the rest of the piece, enhancing the overall construction.

CARE AND LONGEVITY
Cotton-linen garment-dyed fabric evolves with time: each wash deepens the patina of the colour, developing nuances that make the shirt increasingly personal. Machine wash at 30° on a delicate cycle with similar colours; iron at medium temperature on the reverse side. A shirt that carries the marks of time — and becomes more interesting for it.
