Even today, seamstresses and embroiderers, with great attention to every single detail, carry on a story that began almost one hundred years ago, in the heart of beautiful Naples. Shirts that are entirely hand-stitched, allowing maximum freedom of movement of the sleeves thanks to the classic 'arriccio', a detail that, like the fitted shoulders and unlined collar, are both special techniques inherited from the oldest tradition of Neapolitan shirt-making.

Our Story
In 1925 Carolina decided to set up her first workshop in the historical centre of Naples. She sewed shirts for a selected number of customers , using the Neapolitan high fashion rules which regarding elegance laid down the law all over the world. Those rules and skills were passed down to her son Alberto and his wife Stefania who in the 1960s opened their first large workshop in San Giorgio a Cremano. Alberto is gifted with a strong business sense and supported by his wife’s experience turned the workshop into an important “high fashion” company. The combination of culture and highly sophisticated machinery makes the family company one of the most advanced ,in the forefront. In the 1990s with the arrival of the third generation, there is a real turning point for the company. Simone, Paolo, Andrea grew up among scraps of fabric, the “philosophy” of dressing well, workers sitting with bent heads because they were busy hand finishing articles of clothing on their laps. All this “dedication” has meant that the Finamore company stands out for the style and good taste of its creations and for the beauty that only articles of clothing rich in detail like Finamore products are able to give. Today “Carolina’s world“ has widened greatly and the Finamore creations have become an important international brand name distributed in the most prestigious and exclusive multi-brand Boutiques and department stores all over the world.” Total look” collections , made up of completely “destrutturate” jackets, shirts, ties and accessories are also sold.

The shirts are characterised by traditional and manual workmanship which make them unique and exclusive. It’s an incredible experience to see the threads interlaced when the buttonholes are sewn or the “ mezzo punto “ on the shoulders….Only those who have roots in this reality are able to see this. This is what makes the Neapolitan products stand out from those sold elsewhere….The way of doing certain operations which is envied all over the world. The third generation of entrepreneurs has been able to raise the level of quality of the products even more by not only using the highest quality fabrics, but by also managing to mix and transform a classic product into a revisited one: a challenge which is giving considerable satisfaction to the company.
